As students prepare to begin the 2018-2019 academic year, the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, local community leaders and mentors want to help motivate and support students in having the best year possible! Join them a they present “Shop Talk”, a program designed to discuss some of the same topics generally discussed is the social setting of a barbershop or salon. This open dialogue will include unique topics for today’s growing adolescents in grade levels 6-12 such as: life skills, current events, and goal setting.
Participants will have the opportunity to win “back to school” cuts and styles for free from local barbers and cosmetologists.
