About Us

Downtown Greensboro Inc. (DGI) is an economic development organization focused on stimulating investment and activity in the center city.

DGI manages the Municipal Service District (or Business Improvement District) for Downtown and has a subsidiary Downtown Greensboro Foundation designated as a 501c3 organization for charitable and educational purposes. Incorporated in 1996, DGI is responsible for providing enhanced cleaning, beautification and safety services, developing and improving the district through marketing and promotion of events and businesses, and addressing critical issues impacting the district.

Mission Statement
The primary focus of DGI is: To lead the development of Downtown Greensboro as a prosperous and vibrant urban center, memorable and meaningful for those who choose to live, work, play and invest here.
Board of Directors
Downtown Greensboro Inc. is a non-profit entity that is led by a 24-member Board of Directors composed of volunteers representing stakeholders in the center city.

Downtown Streetscape Project
The Downtown Greensboro Streetscape Master Plan project provides a framework for streetscape enhancements in the central core of downtown.
